Egg Carton Bugs!

Egg Carton Bugs!

As the summer rolls in....so do the bugs! And if you have a curious little toddler they will be all about finding, catching, killing, and looking for bugs all over your yard. My little girl is obsessed with snails lately, and she looks for them in the garden every night before bed. So we had to make sure to make some egg carton snails, as well as every other bug we could think of! This project is so easy to do, and you can collaborate and help with the harder parts depending on how old your child is.

SUPPLIES

  • Egg cartons
  • Scissors
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Paint
  • Googly eyes
  • Anything you want!

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut up the egg cartons into different lengths and trim so they are neat around the edges.
  2. Let your little one paint all the cups - it's easy enough for them to do and you can help get the corners if needed.
  3. Add the pipe cleaners, googly eyes, glitter, pom-poms - anything you want! Make these little critters come to life.
  4. And of course take them into the garden to play!
